Canon Law on Marriage: Introductory Notes and Comments Basically a commentary on the provisions of church law
concerning the sacrament of marriage (Cc. 1055-1165). Organized into ten chapters corresponding to the ten chapters of title VII of Book IV of the
Code of Canon Law of 1893. Written for students preparing for the ordained ministry, but includes an extensive chapter on Consent, treating among other things C. 1095, which deals with the maturity and legal competence
required for marriage. Of interest to practitioners of civil law, for this canon is the basis of Art. 36 [which deals with psychological incapacity] of the Family Code.
